Titians Metomorphoses

Titians famous painting of the moment Diana meets Actaeon. The story is taken from Greek poet Ovids 'Metemorphoses'. Diana is a Goddess bathing with her servants and Actaeon, a mere mortal stumbles upon the scene surprising them. Surprised Diana splashes water on Actaeon and turns him into a stag with great antlers. The story ends with Actaeon being hunted by his friends who do not recognise him and being killed by his own hunting hounds. The film is one in a number of pieces made as a response to a series of Titians work aquired by the National Gallery.
This film reminds me of all the things I love about cinema; 24 beautiful stunning paintings a second.
